South Beach Nite Club

    Hello Miami Valley! We're heading south again this month...to South Beach Nite Club.  South Beach is located at  729 Lyons Road in the Washington Park Plaza in Centerville.  (Many of you may remember the night club as "Casablanca's" from several years ago.) Co-owner Shawn Oliver, who purchased the night club with his partner 2 years ago, calls South Beach the premier dance club in the Miami Valley area.  There is a HUGE dance floor, and the DJ's play all types of music - including 80's, 90's, Top 30 hits, and more.  There is a diverse crowd at the night club as well. "We're like the melting pot," says Oliver. "You'll find people here from 21 years old to 81 years old!"
    South Beach Nite Club is open every Friday from 5 p.m. until 2:30 a.m., and on Saturdays from 7 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. The club is also open some Thursdays for special events. On Friday, the fun begins at 5:00 with Happy Hour and special drink prices. Matt King, from WTUE, hosts live trivia from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00. DJ Chris Rock takes over after trivia, and you can dance the night away. Saturdays feature is "...the ultimate dance party with DJ Scott Sharp," says Oliver.  Saturday crowds of up to 500 or so people fill the night club!
    South Beach offers several big screen tv's, so that guests can watch football, boxing, and other sporting events. There is a full-size kitchen, and now that colder weather is here, the kitchen will open up to serve appetizers and sandwiches.  The dress code at South Beach is casual - jeans, etc. - but NO hats allowed. Cover charge on both Friday and Saturday nights is $5.
    And now, for some upcoming November events that you can look forward to at South Beach! Friday, November 13th is the "Casablanca Reunion" party at South Beach. Happy Hour will begin at 5:00 p.m., and there will  be trivia and a free buffet from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Dancing with music from the era will begin right after trivia. EVERYONE is invited to join the fun! On Friday, November 20th, the club will host Girls Gone Wild with special guests "The Sexy Splash Hotties." South Beach will also be open on Wednesday, November 25th at 7:00 p.m.  for  Thanksgiving Eve. You can "dance off" calories the night BEFORE Thanksgiving, and then eat "guilt free" on Thanksgiving Day!
